Birding with Maeve @ Mount Philo & Shelburne Bay - VT

View from atop Mount Philo -  Charlotte, Vermont. September 17, 2016 birders join Maeve for a Hawk watch.

Bird watching begets nature watching in general. Observe nature, look closely; she will amaze you.

Arriving at Shelburne Bay on a mid September day, we spotted this seemingly unusual image.

Need some help?

Good Samaritan offer
refused, apparently.

Taking a second look.

The mystery deepens.
Now what is he doing?

The birding group came up with dozens of possible explanations. Some plausible, some a good entry into a mystery novel.

A bit later the man was seen walking towards shore and the ladder had disappeared

Meanwhile I slowly crept up to this Lesser Yellowlegs on the Lake Champlain shoreline.
